Positive Living North has been working in partnership with neighboring agencies and surrounding northern communities for over ten years with an objective to deliver effective education surrounding HIV/AIDS/HCV and related issues.
We are constantly working to expand our broad range of topics and update our curriculum based on today's rapidly changing research and development. Our primary goal is to effectively facilitate education that promotes awareness, sensitivity, prevention and safe practices. Positive Living North offers the following educational resources:
- Community education programs concerning HIV/AIDS, HCV and related issues (e.g. homophobia, racism and self-esteem) for men, women and youth.
- Library with main resources available to the public.
- Condom and pamphlet distribution
- One-on-one counseling (e.g. safer sex practices)
- Information tables/booths
- 6 module workshop for frontline workers, professionals in the social service delivery sector and interested community members.
